How do I set up a Tribute Fund for my loved one?
It is very easy to set up a Tribute Fund and create a page that is personal to your loved one.

Click on ‘How to create your page’ button above and follow the simple steps.

What options do I have once my page is set up?
As the person who has set up the Fund, you will be able to do the following things when you are logged in:

- write journal entries
- upload photographs (there is a maximum limit of 24 photos)
- delete any Visitors Book entries that have been written by visitors to the site which you feel are inappropriate.

You and visitors to your page will also be able to:

- write in the Visitors’ Book
- set up secondary funds for any event and/or occasion where you or they would like to make a collection for the Tribute Fund. So, if someone in your family is getting married or one of your friends is running a marathon, they can set up their own page and all the money that they raise through their event will be credited into the Tribute Fund you have set up.
How do I tell my friends and family about my page?
Log in and email your family and friends using our email tool.  Simply add the email addresses of family and friends you want to notify and they will be sent an email telling them about your Tribute Fund page.
Can I change the page later?
Yes.  Simply log in and you can change your page whenever you like.

You can change:
- your message
- your journal
- your photographs
- send more emails to family and friends
- change your password or email address.
Can I control who visits my page?
Yes.  When following the simple step by step guide to set up the Fund, you will be asked if you would/would not like to allow the general public to be able to view your Tribute Fund page through the ‘Find a Tribute Fund’ search option.  Whether you permit general access or not you will still be able to give access to your selected family and friends.
What do I need to do if I would like to remove a message?
You can delete any messages left on your page by logging in to your admin area and simply clicking on ‘delete’ next to a message.
Who are tributefunds.com?
They are the company providing the website on behalf of the Meningitis Trust.  Please do not contact them directly, but if you have any comments or suggestions please contact Jane Cima on 01453 769082 or janec@meningitis-trust.org
What about security?
You will be using a secure connection to create your page and a password-protected account will be set up for you to make any changes.  All donations also go through a secure banking process.
How will a Meningitis Trust Tribute Fund help others?
The money raised through the Tribute Fund will help the Meningitis Trust continue to provide our range of professional support services for all those affected by meningitis.

In addition it will also help us continue to increase awareness of the disease and its after-effects.
I have registered, how do I now login to my account?
To log in you will need to have activated your account.  An email will have been sent to the email address you registered with.  (Please note: it may have been sent to your 'Spam' or 'Junk mail' folder')

Once you have clicked on the link within this email to activate your account you will be ready to log in. 

Enter your email address and password in the two boxes you will see at the top right corner of this page. Click on the left hand box with 'email address' written and enter your email address.  The right hand box is for you to enter your password.

Then simply press enter or click on the 'Login' button.

You are now ready to create your memorial page - click on 'Start a Tribute Fund' to get going.

Check carefully that you haven't added any extra spaces at the end of your email address, and that you have used the same email address you registered with.  It is case sensitive so please check you haven't got 'Caps Lock' when typing.

Will the money I have already raised in memory be added to the on-line Tribute Fund total?
Yes.  Once you have set up your Tribute Fund on-line the Meningitis Trust is notified.  We will then add all money raised in memory of your loved one so far to the on-line total.  As money is donated in the future by cheque or by other 'off-line' payment methods this will also be added to the on-line total.
I have registered, but not received a confirmation email - what has happened?
The confirmation email has most likely been added to your 'spam' or 'junk mail' folder of your email account.  First check this, or if you are using your work email account you can check with your IT team.

It may be possible that you emptied this folder without realising this email was in the folder.  You will need to register again if this is the case.

The confirmation email will be titled - 'User registration confirmation at the Meningitis Trust' from 'Meningitis Trust'

How do I know I have logged in and what do I do next?
Once you have logged in to your account you will see a box welcoming you at the top right corner of the page and 'logout' will be added to the options along the top of the page.

To start creating your memorial web page simply click on the 'Start a Tribute Fund' button to get started on creating your page.
